A New Opera from Old Sources

August 1, 2021 Place: Sam Houston State University

Renowned tenor Tony Boutte presents a brand new full-length opera, comprised of music from the most well-known anthology in classical singing, 24 Italian Songs and Arias. This new opera will be workshopped by Megan, Tony, and their colleagues in early August. More details to come!

Testament - World Premier

April 17, 2016 Place: The Gaetner Performing Arts Center

The Sam Houston State University Percussion Department presents a recital debuting B.P. Herrington's new work, "Testament," written for three percussionists and soprano.  This beautiful piece features text by Houston poet, Carolyn Adams, and music by composer and SHSU professor, Brian Herrington.
