Masterclass with Juliana Hall
I sang an epic song today in a masterclass with Juliana Hall. It is a brand new setting of Fanny Crosby's hymn text, "In Closer Bonds of Love to Thee." It was a wonderful experience to dig into this beautiful piece with the composer herself! My cup is full this evening. I love music-making opportunities like this. I'm feeling thankful.
Fun fact: Fanny Crosby wrote well over 8,000 hymn texts in her life. She did not begin writing hymn texts until she was in her 40s. She lived to be 94.
